Job Description
As the Head of Digital & Technology, you will drive New Zealand Football’s digital transformation, leading how technology, data, and innovation strengthen operations, enable smarter decisions, and create new commercial value across the game. Acting as the organisation’s internal digital and technology advisor, you will set the technology direction, ensuring systems, integrations, and digital investments connect the football community and position the game to enhance football delivery and unlock new commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Technology Partnering:
You will build trusted relationships with GMs and Heads of Departments working collaboratively to deliver tailored digital and technology insights. Lead strategic discussions on technology direction, coach and mentor stakeholders to improve digital acumen, and serve as a key source of insight for the GM People, Finance & Business Transformation.
Technology Strategy & Governance: You will take ownership of the IT Strategic Roadmap, rationalise applications and software, and implement robust ICT governance processes. Standardise systems and integrations to create an efficient, scalable, and secure digital ecosystem.
Data Management & Business Intelligence: You will ensure data is accessible, accurate, and consolidated for analytics and reporting. Lead data governance protocols, establish Single Sign-On and systems integration, and strengthen cybersecurity and data privacy practices.
Digital Commercialisation & Innovation: You will drive continuous improvement and innovation across digital platforms, identifying and prototyping new products and services that create commercial value. Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Communications to align technology with fan engagement and sponsorship strategies.
Vendor Management: You will be responsible for managing IT service agreements and technology partnerships, overseeing vendor SLAs, and building strategic relationships to drive innovation and value across the football system.

Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience integrating or using AI tools to enhance processes, decision making, or innovation (preferred).
At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in technology governance, data management, digital services, and transformation initiatives.
