Job Description

As the Social Content Creator, you will play a key role in bringing the stories of New Zealand Football to life. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will create engaging content across our digital and social media platforms, helping to grow audiences, strengthen fan engagement, and showcase the people, competitions, programmes and national teams that make football special in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Working as part of the Commercial, Marketing and Communications team, you'll create compelling video, photography, graphic and written content, while helping ensure New Zealand Football’s digital channels continue to reflect our brand, strategy and ambitions for the game.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You are a creative storyteller who understands the power of digital content to connect and inspire audiences. You are equally comfortable behind a camera, in an editing suite, creating graphics, or crafting written content. You bring a strong understanding of social media, a passion for creating engaging content, and a genuine enthusiasm for football and sport. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy collaborating with others, and are always looking for new ways to elevate content and audience engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum two years’ experience managing digital and social media channels.
  • Experience creating content for a range of audiences and digital platforms.
  • Strong video production skills, including interviewing, filming, editing and distribution.
  • Experience using professional editing and design software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop or similar platforms.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience creating digital content.
  • Knowledge of football and futsal would be advantageous.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred but not essential.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to help tell the stories of the biggest team participation sport in New Zealand. You'll work alongside passionate people, contribute to meaningful projects across the football system, and have the chance to create content that inspires players, fans and communities throughout Aotearoa.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. Research shows that individuals from underrepresented groups, including women, often hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. If you're excited about this role and believe you have what it takes, even if your experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply.

Our recruitment process is fair and inclusive, and we're committed to making it accessible for everyone. We value diverse perspectives and the unique contributions each person brings to our culture. Put simply, you can be yourself here.

Applications close 5pm Friday 31 July, however we will review applications as they are received and may close the advert early if an appointment is made. Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
